LETTER FROM CHARLES H. TYLER

Campaign Chair

What are the greatest strengths of Country Day? The ones that first come to mind might be the quality of the academic program, the exceptional faculty, or the sense of family and community that go back to the founding of the school. I would argue that there is a hidden strength that has kept Country Day at the top of the ranks of independent day schools. And that is a “pay it forward” ethos in our community. The generosity of our community in years past has made us the school we are today.

With GCDS FIRST: The Campaign for Tradition and Innovation I invite you to participate in this tradition of giving. GCDS FIRST is grounded in careful strategic planning and a conservative, sustainable approach to financial planning. We launch GCDS FIRST at a time of tremendous opportunity in educational technologies and facilities, and of exciting innovation in teaching and learning. This campaign gives us the means to embrace these opportunities and build on our strengths. I hope you'll join me in putting GCDS first!
